Bencorragh House is 3 miles to the west of John O'Groats, overlooking the island of Stroma and the Orkney Islands.
The area is one of outstanding natural beauty. is a haven for a great many varieties of bird life.  There are many breeding birds to be seen in spring and early summer.  Later in the season there are usually a large number of Hawks around and also Geese gathering for their winter migration.
